I am *THIS* much closer to being a french citizen as of today!

My husband and I went to the 'prefecteur' today, as we're supposed to do on our anniversary, and waited in line and showed them all our papers showing we have our home together and now I wait for more papers in the mail and don't have to go back until next year.

Yes, that was a run-on sentence, but it was a long day.

I feel very official.

I can almost speak french now too.

Tomorrow we go up to Italy to Bordeghera to the FANTASTIC open air market they have there. There's a guy with ricotta cheese that will melt your heart.
