There was some sadness, but I turned it around in my sermon to a moment of joy. I talked about Mom's funeral, and how the resurrection gave us hope, when nothing else could. I cried, but they were tears of joy. It really touched all of us.

45. The funny thing is, those were not my perennials.

Those are the wild flowers that came up after Katrina and there are batches of them all over my yard. I never planted them and did not have those in my yard before the hurricane. They just sprang up in my yard and my yard smells wonderful, like a flower shop.

I love them.
