Anyone seen "The Libertine" with Johnny Dep?

1. Yes.

Several persons up and left. Besides opening speech and movie locations which made one feel like it REALLY was post1666 fire pre-Wren London. Soundtrack was off-kilter for a movie set in the reign of Charles II, this hindered the advance of the movie. ehhhh. I give it 2.1 stars out of 5.

3. I can't wait to see it

I'm looking for it on DVD since I didnt' get to the theatre.

I have a feeling, though, that with this one you have to really be a fan of Johnny or John Malkovich to appreciate it, i.e., be ready for them to take you whereever they feel like going artistically.

I'm a big fan of period pieces, anyway, sometimes I get tired of the Jane Austen prettiness. (Yes, I know, it's a different time period.)

It's one of those movies you will either be disappointed in or appreciate in it's own way.
