Yellowstone's wolf 21 was a gentle soul.
There was a documentary on the other night. A lady from Florida moved to Montana to watch wolves. Her favortie was wolf 21 (I think that was it's number). He was kind and attentive to his mate, and played with his offspring. When he chased coyotes away,he didn't kill them,or even injure them like the other wolves did. It was in Yellowstone, but I cannot remember what the documentary was called.

2. I've forgotten both.
I am google searching, but no luck so far. The montana famers where unhappy with the reintroduction of the wolves. The government would only pay for livestock that the ranchers could prove was a wolf, which is tough cause scavengers would destroy the evidence. I think the gov can pay for a few dead calves in the name of harmony. Also the last Canadian wolf died in 2004,so the wolves are all natural born Americans,so to speak.
