(Standard disclaimer)

Not responsible for damage due to laughing so hard you spray all over your monitor and keyboard.

(And this is a real Scientology handout, from the 1970's)

13. I'm sure this has been linked to before but...
FactNet - Great site for Cult Awareness

Operation Clambake - A clearing house of information about he "church" of $cientology.

If you know of anyone involved in $cientology print some of this stuff out for them. It should open their eyes pretty quickly (depending on the level of indoctrination). One of particular interest is the price list for a new recruit into $cientology. How much does $cientology cost?

14. I'm so totally NOT surprised it keeps mentioning money
As a volunteer minister, you *BUY* this book, and then get other people to *BUY* this book...

and then later, when you have your time with the auditor, the auditor is compensated justly for his time . . .

Scientology is such a scam, it makes me sick.

There are other religions I'm not happy about, but even those I don't like, or perhaps even mistrust and despise, none of them, except Scientology, requires payment for enlightenment. SCientology is also the only one that has copyrighted it's "scripture". No other religion does that. But then, Scientology is not a religion, it's just a very clever, and very powerful, scam, that keeps it's "religious" status through some very corrupt and telling and quite liikely illegal means, and of course, the ever-present lawsuits.

16. Is This the Pamphlet That Converted Tom Cruise?
Seems kind of hard to believe this would appeal to him. It's more John Travolta.

BTW, the authors must have had corporate jobs writing administrative guidelines and Human Resource handbooks. Although they do know how to coin words like "livingness."

anthropologists of the future might have their work cut out for them

A 22nd century historian is showing Miles some artifacts from the late twentieth century to get more info on them. The last item is a videotape of Howard Cosell describing a boxing match.

Historian: We weren't sure at first what to make of this, but we developed a theory: When people committed great crimes against the state, they were forced to watch this.

Miles Monroe: Yes. That's exactly what it was.
