LOTR-a-thon!!! Ask me anything.
That's right, we're watching all three extended edition DVDs back to back. In all likelihood, we'll be piss drunk by the end of Return of the King! That oughta be interesting. :D

(Yes, I really need to get a life. :P)

Ask me anything. :D

3. I've done that
It's definately a fun endeavor, alone, or with people. I did it at my parents place after last Christmas when I got the set as my big gift. I sat there on the couch in front of my Dad's HDTV with his super duper wireless headphones (he's a 65 year old ex-mit techno rat so he's got the good stuff) all day while everyone else bustled about.

It's quite a masterpiece to watch in once sitting. It almost makes it even more impressive.

4. So what're the rules to the drinking game?
Here's some suggested rules I've heard:

Drink each time:

1. A close-up on the Ring
2. Frodo crying
3. A flash-back to Isildor cutting off the Ring
4. A flashback of Gollum getting tortured
5. The camera is centered on Aragon but he says nothing
6. Elvish is spoken

Drink until my friend Steve Random Shit reaches his limit and turns it into an MST3K :D

Better if you've read the books, because, like the books, they take a while to get going.

20. I don't know.
To be honest, I'm getting a little tired to Fellowship because I've seen it so many more times than the others, so I'd say Return of the King for the battle scenes. }(

but my definition of "ugly" is having a pulsating alien tumor on the side of your head or something. :scared:

I know many people I don't consider *attractive* to me (all guys I know and a fair few women), but no one who I consider really *ugly*

Worst night of my life, because I had vodka and Mountain Dew. The alcohol acted as an emotional intensifier, and I was a little pissed to begin with, and the caffeine kept me awake, so I couldn't sleep and I was a really energetic, pissed off drunk, so I was thinking things like "Stupid little bitch! You make me want to punch holes in the wall! :grr:"

our extended DVD of "RTOK"..started at Noon on a Saturday and went all the way through all three movies.

Every so often we do that with the Original 3 Star Wars films, Back to the Future and Indiana Jones trilogies.
