1. Beautiful!
One of my sisters has a wisteria right outside her kitchen window, and it is so lovely when it's in bloom.

2. And it smells so good, too!
Takes a lot of pruning, though, or it will take over the house. That is a steel arbor that it is growing on.

6. It was planted a year after the main house was built in 1905.

11. Yep. Got the papers on it.
I think that it is second only to a Frank Lloyd Wright in Greenville, SC. Actually, better. It is, for sure, one of the most unique houses in upstate South Carolina.

14. I read AB also.
I write for a UK aviation magazine and a US aviation news magazine. I'll try my hand at a feature for American Bungalow when the projects are finished.

18. how very cool!
my Milwaukee bungalow was built as a model home in 1929. Brick with a clay tile roof. We suspect it made it's way through as a speak easy during Prohibition.

15. I have a wisteria in the yard that is nearing 15 years...
and hasn't bloomed yet. Sadly, the new owners will probably take it out. In summer, the back yard looks like a leafy green room.

16. Did you sell, too?
I'm sure wisteria blooms later up there than down here. Dr. DemoTex is working in her Chicago Heights office this week and reports that spring has not quite sprung there.

New owners? Did you sell?

Mac

17. Yes, my mother (who I took care of)
died right after Christmas. The house is half my sister's and so I must leave.

Although I have a yardful of daffodils (all vases are packed, damnit) spring is very slow to spring here.
