Poll question: Eyebrows. Pluck 'em, wax 'em, or fuck em?
Edited on Fri Mar-31-06 05:34 PM by Maddy McCall
Which do you do?

I'm a waxer. Can't stand the pain involved in tweezing--I like to get it all over at once.

It's fast, low-pain, and lasts longer.

3. You Forgot One...
Scissors and disposable razors. I used to pluck the area that was trying to be a unibrow... now I just take a disposable razor to it about once a week. Quick, easy, painless.

My eyebrows are mostly blonde so just a twice-weekly go-over keeps 'em in line.

Edited for tragic grammar mistake.

11. I do nothing.
The only time I ever break out the tweezers is if I notice a dark hair between my eyebrows. Otherwise, I like my eyebrows. They may be a bit thick but they fit my face. :)

Tweezing doesn't bug me too much in any case.

Plus, with my terrible eyesight, I miss stuff. Best to let my salon do it for me--with wax.

27. I'm Greek and if I tried to keep up with all the hair removal
society deems necessary for women I'd have to quit my job. There aren't enough hours in the day for me to be as hairless as I "should" be. So fuck it. I'm hairy. Deal with it.

29. My eyebrow hair is mainly blonde so it isn't much of an issue
but I do a bit of plucking anyway. There isn't much point in waxing. I've got the northern European "not a lot of hair and what there is is mainly blonde" thing going on.

30. My eyebrows do not suffer from my attention!
They are nearly invisible, esp. since I wear glasses.....

They hide behind my glasses!

Once in a blue moon, I pull an extra long one..but that's all....

32. If I don't have them waxed every three weeks, than it turns ugly
Edited on Fri Mar-31-06 07:37 PM by Sannum
I would scare small children with the hairy caterpillars above my eyes. I go to a specialist and spend 25 a time because I am scared of someone making a mistake. I have been waxing them since I was about 11. It doesn't hurt.

I am not hairy anywhere else....it all migrates to my brows

33. I pluck, but I'd rather wax.
The salon where I get my hair done also does eyebrow waxing (my stylist is the salon owner, but she herself does not do the waxing). She said the person who does the waxing is very good. I'd like to have my brows professionally shaped and then just tweeze lightly if any maintenance is needed between waxings.

40. Tweeze
I'd love to wax, but I get a nasty rash from the stuff.

Sugaring and that 'gel' wax stuff is doesn't work well and is just plain messy.

I can't afford to go to the salon and get stuff done, anyway. x(

41. I tried plucking...
But it hurt. Then I tried waxing 'em once. Hurt worse than plucking. So I've gone with the 'fuck 'em' option.

They're not bushy and the glasses tend to hide 'em most of the time anyway, so...

And...what's 'threading'?

42. I pluck the hairs in the middle
I have tried plucking the strays under my eyebrows but it really hurts so I rarely do it. Plucking the ones on my nose and in the middle don't really hurt anymore, especially right after a shower.
