5. Yay! And a note about "To Kill a Mockingbird"....
Peck made "Cape Fear" and "To Kill a Mockingbird" in the same year. Pretty incredible, if you ask me.

:hi:

20. Y'oughta see the shooting schedules
for movies in the '20s and '30s. Lotta actors cranked out five, six or more a year.

Hollyweird didn't screw around back then.

8. As much as I love DeNiro
Mitchum's eerie performance in the original film is unbeatable!

Are you watching now?

12. Yes! And it's really difficult to say who's performance I liked better
They are both legendary actors, and both did a superb job in both the original and the remake. I saw the re-make first, so when I saw the original...I was surprised how good it was. Mitchum and DeNiro have that certain "grit" to their personality that few actors can match

9. I saw part of it
about a brazillion years ago.

Mitchum might've been the best not-classically-trained actor in history.

11. based on a novel by John D. McDonald - spolier?
The character is a person who went to military prison for rape and he gets out after 15 years or so and comes looking for the former naval officer who caught him in the act and busted him.

15. Exactly!
And I think the film has been out long enough - both the original and remake - to allay any worries about spoilers.

How are you toight, sweets?

it was a pretty quiet day, except for the fast t-storms.

But I have not seen either movie - just read the book about ten years ago.

7. Can't watch it...
To close to real life. If it can happen in real life, the movies creep me out to much.
