First "Patch of Blue" in Fort Worth spotted yesterday.
Yep the first patch of bluebonnets that I have ssen this spring. I know they have been creeping up from South Texas, it is just so good to see them every year.

A drive toward the south might be in order in the next few days to see the glory that is a field full of blue.

2. Thank you. I wish it had been sunnier when I took the first two
shots, the third one I found on the web

That is the State Flower of Texas. I have always said that the first settlers must have arrived here in the spring and were tricked by the beauty of the wildflowers into believing it was a nice place to live. Believe me before airconditioning, this place must have been hell on earth.

If AC had not become readily available, Texas and Florida would not be nearly so over populated.

but I digress. The wildflowers here are wonderful.

3. I saw *tons* of patches on my way from Houston to San Marcos.
Lots of people out taking pictures in them. Very beautiful.

4. that is good to hear, the last year has been so dry, there was
concern that the crop wouldn't bloom .

Looking forward to the northward creeping of the fields of blue.
