My buddy is leaving for boot camp

I've only known the guy for about a year, but I can honestly say he is one of the most kick ass dudes I know. :D

I'm scared for him, I'm excited for him, I'm proud of him.

He's a great guy with a big heart and he has all my respect and support... but I'm going to miss him, :(.

I'm going to see him some time tomorrow and find out what all is going on, who is going to take his cat, and a bunch of other stuff. Guess he's leaving in a couple of weeks.

but nothing that would fulfill him. :). This is something he's wanted for a long time. And the only reason he hasn't done it sooner is because his g/f threatened to leave him! Well, she ended up leaving him anyways, so he was free to make this choice for himself- and he has many reasons for wanting to be in the Marines, it's definitely not a no-other-option kind of thing.
