I'm back, my short stay in the hospital turned into 10 whole days! It seems that I was in worse shape than the Doctor had originally thought and I needed to stay longer. The fall I had (down the stairs) only served to complicate things too. I needed a huge hematoma on my right shin, aspirated to relieve some of the pressure but mostly to help avoid any infection that could seriously complicate things. My hemoglobin was 'critically' low and so I received 2 Iron infusions during my stay. Anyway, I'm home, I have a PIC line and TPN nutrition running 24 hours a day until Monday when the TPN will be concentrated and will only run 14 hours daily.

Most of all, thanks to those who emailed my husband for updates, for the prayers and good wishes that were beamed my way. I hope this post makes sense! I'm taking Loratab for pain ( bad pain :( ) and it makes me dopier than usual :)

How scary for your husband...and you. I know how unfun hospitals can be. Did they put you on Lortab? or generic? The generic can really wreak havoc on your tummy...it's the same as the Generic for Vicodin and your stomach can feel the difference. Feel better. :hug:
