When I was a kid, I thought it was the fanciest place EVAH! I loved it. I'm from a postage-sized small town in western NC so an evening at the S&A was an event. Sad, eh? Am I the only one?

4. remember when it was called Jolly Ox?
which my sister dubbed the Gay Bull, but anyway, I always enjoyed a slab of prime rib at Steak and Ale,

We used to go there for happy hours 2 for 1 drinks even if we ate dinner elsewhere. I have not been to Steak and Ale for a very long time.

6. When I was in college I thought Steak & Brew was way cool.

I could enjoy my steak with several pitchers of beer.

7. Mountain Jack's is better
A slight bit more expensive, but I do love Mountain Jack's prime rib.
