Once again I've cancelled my Netflix service
I got an email enticing me to come back swearing up and down that the shipping problem was better

It wasn't - it sucked beyond sucking.

The first 3 films I got within a day. After that it was taking over a week and I was returing my films by dropping them off at the Post Office next door to where I work.

1. Try Blockbuster
I usually get my DVDs within a day or two of them receiving my return (which they get pretty quickly). I don't like their site, it makes selection a bit difficult but I've been happy with their service.

I do like the home delivery because there are no video rental places right in my neighborhood.

9. I always forget to return movies to the rental places on time
The late fees were making me crazy. It seemed like the less we liked the movie, the longer it took me to remember to return it!

I like the variety of movies available. We don't have cable so we get documentaries, and previous seasons of TV shows we like. We're actually waiting for the 2nd season of Lost to come out this summer because the commercial breaks are so frequent during the show it drives us crazy. It's much more fun to get the show on DVD and watch it when we want to.

3. How frequently do you ship them back?
I heard the more frequent renters take a backseat to the people who don't rent as much.

5. I'm a very infrequent renter from them.
When I do ship one back, I get the next one in two days. Then again, I do live in Los Angeles, which might help with the delivery time.

Most of the time I drop the return in my rural mailbox for pickup @ 3pm -and 2 days later, the new one arrives.
