2. Ah yes
I fear history will not be kind to the "pre-Seinfeldians". Rather like the Cossacks. :(

But for all I know, he's still out there doing live stand-up.

Do you remember the cartoon Life With Louie? It was a Saturday morning show, and I was already about 30 when it came on. I watched it anyway. :D

32. Yeah, Boosler was awesome!
She could definitely have her own show. I imagine someone with the stand-up chops she has was only taking the opportunity on a short term basis. But if she ever decided to do talk radio on a daily, she'd be a hit. Momma better watch out.

24. Joe's 5 minutes was "Johny Dangerously"
D.A. Burr: The public sees him as a knight in shining armor.
Danny Vermin: This goes through armor . . . and it goes through the victim, through the wall, through a tree outside.

50. His best line in that movie was...
he pulls a pistol with a ridiculously long barrel out of his jacket.

flunky: they made it special for him...it's an .88 magnum.

Piscopo: it shoots through schools.

23. Jake Johansen.
Was he popular? I don't know. He had a joke about a cow, I think. Also he was after 1986.

Actually, in or around 1986, (I was a kid--the memory is fuzzy), Jerry Seinfeld had an HBO half hour special that my brother and I taped and watched about a billion times. The beginning got cut off though so we didn't know his name. We called the tape, "Funny Guy." Eventually we stopped watching it, and pretty much forgot about it, but still randomly quoted it from time to time.

Imagine my confused surprise when the Seinfeld show came out.

Kevin Meany. *sigh* His mom never thinks anything's right. :o

40. Yeah, I think he does still turn up once in a while.
I've got nothing against him. In my fuzzy memory he looks like a mix between that black and white stick-figure guy that was popular in the late 80's/early 90's, and Funky Winkerbean. (I know he looks a little different now.)

Who, by the way, spawned an awful whinny pop music sub genre, populated by guys too mediocre to wear all black, they dabble in grey, and pine and threaten to kill themselves if the girl doesn't like them...

And this is a bit pre-1986, but Carrie Snow did some of the best stand-up EVarr. I still quote her once in awhile.
