But I love RENT (see my sigline), Wicked, Guys and Dolls, Les Miserables, The Producers, Fiddler on the Roof, Singing in the Rain. And so on...

15. Spamalot rocked!

It is the only musical I have seen ON Broadway and my God, it was great. I sat three rows back and was knocked out by the sheer hard work put in by the company. Tim Curry and David Hyde-Pierce were onstage but Hank Azaria had moved on. His replacement, Alan Tudyk (Serenity), was magnificent. The female lead, whose name escapes me, was a knockout. She should be a lot more famous than she is, and she won a Tony for "Spamalot."

23. My favorite, too

I've only seen the movie version, would love to see it live. Have the CD and play it all the time at work. My hearing's in danger (what??...can't hear you) because I tend to crank it up a bit (headphones).

29. I fell in love with it many years ago.

I did lighting for a production of it in a local theatre WAAAAAAY back in the early 80's. After being in those rehearsals for so long I knew that script inside and out. To this day, I can't listen to it and NOT want to run light cues.

I have not seen the movie version of it, but I will...

wins for me because one day, when I was tripping and needed to mellow out in a big way, I put on Oklahoma.
As for, can a straight man like a musical, let me say this: if anyone does themselves out of any pleasure out of peer pressure, they may be a straight man but they're not a real man. Glad to see you're the latter.

18. I love "Fiddler on the Roof."

But there are others......West Side Story mainly. Also Oklahoma and Brigadoon!

Brigadoon has the most haunting love story.......It really gets to me!

but the one that truly makes me smile is "Little Shop of Horrors". Silly yes, but fun! I even saw the original black and white film, very campy!
