Did you see his pout-fest last night? THAT is why we hate JJ.

1. Someone actually asked that question?

I can dislike anyone I want to. Right now, Redick is near the top of my list. And the poutfest only cememted the dislike.

4. When I read your initial post
I almost spit my coffee.

Redick-bashing is a hobby in my home. I've even got my five year old in on it!

11. He just called himself a Duke nutcase.
Need we say anything else?

Actually, I love Duke. I just hate their basketball program.

16. I hated that thread, because the question was stupid.
This is why I didn't respond . . . why do I need a REASON to hate Duke and their players? That school was built on monopolized tobacco money and their fans are Republican, more whitebread than the Barenaked Ladies and annoying as fuck. I can't stand the way Dumbass Dick Vitale flogs his log on the mention of St Duke. Plus they generally churn out punks like Laettner, Bobby Hurley, Carlos Boozer, and NBA busts like Johnny Dawkins, Fanny Derry (good exec, lame player) and Shane Battier. Their form of basketball is boring and clunky to watch; give me the old running college teams like Arkansas, Georgetown, UNLV, Loyola Marymount, Oklahoma, GW, etc.

18. Well, here was my answer to that question:
"You're forgetting the first rule of sports - irrational hatred and love come with the territory. Get over it."

21. Just ask Browns fans.
That team doesn't do shit and they play in sub-arctic weather, but fans still come anyway. Irrational on both sides of the coin.

I think Oliver Miller once said "When we watched college ball growing up, we rooted for whoever beat Duke." Many players echoed his sentiments.

31. Back in the early-mid 80s, they were.
They had some great athletic players. Maybe not so much now, but they did beat the Buckeyes.

You And I Remember That VERY Differently
They were a half-court team in the Ewing and Mourning days which was the 80's, right? Even when the had Brown, Floyd, and Ewing, they were a half-court team. They just ran off one of Ewing's block, because Sleepy was so quick.

But, i sure don't remember that as a running team. I always thought of them as a physical, defensive team. (Which, by the way, i always like!)

8. I need to stop picking Kentucky to go far
I had completely forgotten that they were upset by Bucknell wasn't it, last year. I don't have an alma mater so I dont have a true favorite and only one of my parents went to college and that school actually has been the shocker this year though I think it would be silly to call myself a George Mason basketball fan, I am happy they've done good though.

Geo Mason has surprised me. I'm lovin' their streak and if UConn gets knocked out they've got my support all the way.

14. Ive got UConn too
I did two bracketts actually, one in the WaPost section on the tournament and other on facebook. I only read what Tony Kornheiser had to say and as I said last night that was a mistake because Tony while hes one of my fave sportswriters also had my Steelers being crushed by the Colts in the NFL Playoffs. Michael Wilbon had a great raticle that I read after doing my bracket that predicted upsets all over the place, I did real well in my bracketts last year and I realize now it was luck because last year was very predictable.

I actually had the correct nat'l championship last year which had me finish 2nd in the DU Pool which was cool, didnt win anyhting lol but I felt special because I had UNC beating Illionis. I did it without bias but damnit I want bias, hopefully when I transfer I'll get some.

24. Some years I play w/ bias.
Last year I was smart. I needed the money.

This year for me has been completely about bias. I ranked KU low and Duke inbetween. Two teams I hate.

I bet my excoworkers don't pay up if I win.

A 16th will not win anytime soon. It's a Cinderella story.

But we do have a Cinderella in progress right now and I'm hoping for the best.

15. whatever...
at least he didn't steal 11 laptops and he will leave school knowing he is on the record books. Sometimes you win, sometimes you lose.

And I can guarantee you that many Duke students are not privileged brats (I certainly was/am not).

26. Williams - UCONN
Williams had been arrested in August and charged with four counts of third-degree felony larceny for his part in the theft of four laptops valued at $11,000. He was granted accelerated rehabilitation, a first-offenders program that could erase the charges.

Williams was sentenced to 18 months of probation and ordered to do 400 hours of community service. University sanctions called for 25 hours of community service and a ban from campus dormitories and residential dining facilities until Aug. 20, 2006.

Connecticut also imposed a two-semester suspension held in abeyance; he could attend classes under the condition he adhere to a series of requirements. He was banned from basketball activities until Dec. 17, his pictures removed from walls and his belongings from his locker.

He did not play until Jan. 3, missing 11 games. Within the dressing room, the team jokester became a non-person.
