HP Printers annoy me!
Edited on Thu Mar-23-06 09:11 PM by undeterred
This is a job rant. I am in charge of making sure the 80 or so printers in the 5 buildings at my company. (I have other responsibilities too, but this is the one I waste a lot of time on.) There is a software program we use to monitor printer supplies so we can keep on top of it and order them ahead of time. But sometimes it misses a printer. And even when you order the stiff long ahead of time, sometimes our vendor hasn't sent it a month later. And then I'm in charge of yelling at them and then they ignore me and the printer can't be used because a supply I ordered a month ago has run out.

Then there's the maintenance of a printer that isn't working. Two guys come out for two hours and can't fix it or figure it out and when they leave they tell me that they will research it and then a week later I still haven't heard from them. Finally I get them back out but do they bring the part that they think is causing the problem? No, of course not. In fact its not in stock and they haven't ordered it yet.

No one really blames me for this and I can't blame the individuals but this is so annoying. We have a service contract that covers supplies and maintenance even if it isn't done very well.

Ugh. Thanks for listening.
