Scientologist Christina "Kumi" Kimball wrote Hayes South Park resignation
Isaac Hayes back stabbed by Scientology

Fox News reported awhile ago that Isaac Hayes didn't quit South Park and never issued the press release saying he was offended by their Scientology episode, but rather left the show after suffering a stroke. Now Page Six is claiming the press release was actually put out by other Scientologists, saying:

That release was put out by fellow Scientologist Christina "Kumi" Kimball, a fashion executive for designer Craig Taylor. According to foxnews.com, "Hayes loves 'South Park' and needs it for income. He has a new wife and a baby on the way."

It's surprising Scientologists haven't kidnapped the President and blown up a box full of kittens yet. Looking at the way they conduct their public relations, their next step should be reworking their name into an acronym that spells out H.A.T.E. and maybe trying to launch a nuclear strike against all the promoters of freedom and democracy.

1. It's Fox News, but then again it's Scientology...
If Fox News is accurate, then poor Isaac Hayes should sue. And, even though the South Park guys made fun of scientology and rebutted the statement, they seem like pretty nice guys. I bet they'd let him come back.

4. The story's a little confusing...the Kimball bit came from the NY Post
...the Post story quotes Fox, but the information revealing Kimball as the author came from the Post. Because it's "nested" in the story, it does indeed appear to be 100% Fox:

CHEF NEEDS JOB

March 23, 2006 -- ISAAC Hayes may not have quit "South Park" at all - or at least not willingly. Turns out Hayes has been away from Comedy Central's hit show for the past three months because he had a stroke. According to foxnews.com, he's at home recuperating and did not issue the press release which said he was quitting because the show made fun of his faith. That release was put out by fellow Scientologist Christina "Kumi" Kimball, a fashion executive for designer Craig Taylor. According to foxnews.com, "Hayes loves 'South Park' and needs it for income. He has a new wife and a baby on the way."

whole cult of Scientology, and it's overarching influence upon its members.

Still, I don't buy it.
I don't think Parker & Stone would be naive enough to accept his resignation via the grapevine as this article implies.

8. It was a very subtle transition, too.
His dialog became much more fragmented by the middle of the episode. Genius.

9. If he had a stroke and was leaving anyway, maybe they would.
I don't think they'd just accept a rumor, but scientologists are known to just cut people off and speak through representatives. It's part of their disconnection policy.

3. Hayes ought to sue them for that
pretending to speak for him.

That's a level of presumptuous of the :wtf: :wow: :wow: :wtf: variety.
