on my computer. I am not sure if it is on either my desktop or laptop, but I still have it on three older machines

4. one of the reasons I do not like that game

I found it on my computer and had to play it, after 600 seconds and about 35 mines left, I had no choice except to guess. I guessed wrong and died at 761 seconds with 26 mines left. I do not like a game that makes me think and calculate for 600 seconds only to lose on a guess.

5. My record is 240 seconds on expert level

Some set ups are easier than others but it often onvolves a bit of guessing. If I am in a situation where I know that I'll have to guess, I go for it so I can get losing over with rather than it come down to the last few mines.

7. that's wicked fast

but you are playing alot. My brother plays with mostly guessing, as he is too lazy to calculate. Plus, I find if you lose a few in a row, that you get easier set-ups. Maybe if I made more guesses in each area at the start of the game. It would give me something to build on, but I am into Spider solitaire now and pinball.

11. I start in the middle of the corners

I think in terms of a center surrounded by 8 squares. If the square reads 1 or 2, I select the corner square. If it is higher than that, I go to the next corner square of nine. Always act when you can. Open up squares where the mine won't be. If you must guess early on, use a spot that will give you information.

Now I paint if I have a little extra spare time. I have it at home though and play at least a few times per day.

I've never played minesweep - someone tried to show it to me once a few years ago but I didn't really care. No games for me, apparently. :)
