4. Thanks. I like the way my stylist does my hair, but lately, I feel
like maybe she's taking me for granted since I've been going to her for so long.

I make my appts. four weeks in advance (before I leave the salon at my last appt.). I had cut, color, style and eyebrow wax down. Today, I had an appt. (rescheduled from Thurs.; she was sick, which I understand) and decided when I woke up today, I wanted to go short and have highlights in addition to what I booked time for. When I got there, she said she had to leave by 1:30 PM for some b-day party for her kids (my appt. was at noon; it usually takes at least 2 hours to finish me on a normal appt.).

She was finishing up with a lady, and didn't get to me until 12:30. I didn't want her to rush, especially since I was going to chop my hair off and wanted to consult w/ her about styles, etc., so I offered to reschedule again, but she said it would be better if we just did it and she would call and be late. I finished at 4 PM. It was uncomfortable because I felt like her time was more valuable than mine, and if I wanted to change my mind about something (adding highlights, going short, etc.) that my my perogative, within reason. I don't know; it was just weird. Too much drama for time that I'm supposed to be spending relaxing.

2. I am a gentleman of Richmond
but you might want to try Babette or Jon at Kristoferjon in Carytown (near Cary and Belmont). Her husband Jon cuts my hair and they are both very talented. Good luck!

6. If you don't mind me asking, are they reasonably priced?
I've gone to Precision One Day Spa on Huguenot Road, for instance, and almost fell out of my chair. I don't go to Hair Cuttery, but don't go to Day Spa either. I'm somewhere in the middle.

7. I think they are in the middle too.
I just get a haircut (and some highlights in my remote past, I'll admit :) ) so I don't know much about the prices for color and other things. They are nice though and Greg at the counter can probably give you an idea of the range.

8. Thanks. I appreciate the help, y'all.
It's a pain in the ass and a bit unnerving changing stylists, but it may be time for me. Carytown is cool.
