I'm hungover on St. Patricks day. Oh, and I get to QUIT MY JOB!
Today I get to give my two weeks notice. Soon, I'll never have to go to that godawful job ever, ever, again.

Did I say I'll never have to go there again? Because it's true. I'll never have to go there again!

:woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo:

Lounge Mojo, you have done the impossible. Thanks, everyone, for the good thoughts and for putting up with my whining about that place.

Now. Can you cure hangovers? :D

1. That rocks the hard jams.
Congratu-fuckin'-lations, and the happiest of outcomes to you.

2. Indeed it does. Thanks, swag.
I get to go full time at my part time job, which I love, and I get to leave the dysfunction behind. It's fan-tastic.

3. Congrats!
Maybe with any luck, they won't make you do the full two weeks!

5. Thanks! That would be a dream come true.
My friends are surprised I'm even giving two weeks but I don't want to be a jerk about it. My mother made me promise that if they get ridiculous during that time I'd up and walk out. I don't think It will come to that though.

6. Thanks!
Being hungover is ok. It's from seeing a great show last night and celebrating my newfound freedom so it's worth it. I just needed a holiday related hook. :D

7. Like Wow!!
That's a great feeling isn't it? The bit about the job, not the hangover. Although personally, I've accomplished many of my most memorable feats while hungover. Or maybe it just seems that way.

11. It's pretty good, yes. Thank you.
The hangover is almost negated by the euphoria of pre-quitting elation. That and a few advil.

9. Outstanding!
Congratulation on walking away from a crummy job! You'll feel better soon, hangover not withstanding. Just give yourself enough time to detox from the poisoned situation once you're away from it.

As to the hangover, V-8 with tons of pepper sometimes works - but no guarantees. :) Lots or water and aspirin help as well.

:woohoo:

13. A V-8 with a bloody mary around it would be even better
but for now coffee and advil is good enough.

Thank you--I'm a little interested in what's going to happen here once I'm gone, but then again I don't particularly care either. I'm just planning on doing what I can to make it easier for whoever gets stuck here next over the next two weeks and then I'm waving my little hand and saying "So long, dearie!"

10. Oh, hell yeah!
I take it you were at the Dirtbombs show?

It's my first week at the job, I didn't want to come in to work on my fifth day hung over and running on 3 hours sleep. :(

14. Thank you. That's exactly where I was, yes.
It was fun--lots of people were dancing on stage at the end, (but not me because I wound up in the back by the time that was going on. Nuts to that.) The Black Lips were great too. It's too bad you couldn't make it, but good call on being a fine upstanding employee. They'll be back soon enough anyway.

15. Kick, because I'm not hungover now and I have a question:
So I have to give my notice today, of course. The boss is never here so telling him in person is out of the question. He's also fairly non-communicative.

I'm going to leave a copy of my resignation letter on is desk and mention/attach it to my nightly summary email, but my question is, do I call him before I leave tonight too, to tell him or should I let my email speak for itself? I want to just let the email do it, but I'm thinking that even though he's not one to tell his employees what's going on calling him is probably the right thing to do just because.

Any thoughts?
