Everyone who plays a bracket knows you need something out of the norm to win in order to separate yourselves from the gaggle of people who have Duke and U-Conn in the final. Did any of you make any strategy picks instead of going with who you really think will be there?

I tried one: I put Nevada in the Final Four even though I think Florida is the best team in that bracket. Florida screws me every year and I don't trust Villanova.

1. I'm in an office people with a great scoring system

I mean, it's the normal 1,2,4,8,16,32 system but that number is then multiplied by the seed number of the team that won.

I mean, it's easy to pick a #1 or #2 team to win a game. But what if you pick a #12 team to win - shouldn't that be worth just a bit more than picking someone who was suppose to win.

So a system like yours would reward you richly if Nevada makes the Final 4 since Nevada is a 5th seed. If they win their game to get into the final 4 you'd get 40pts instead of the normal 8pts

BTW, I have Florida choking to Oklahoma but it'll be Villanova winning that bracket.

Edit Note: Speaking of choking - Oklahoma looks like they're doing that with UWMilwaukee. Damn, I have OK going to the great 8 and losing to Villanova

2. how could you not pick the Panthers?
this is the same team that hit the Sweet Sixteen last year, same players, basically. and that was with a lower seed.

3. I believe in teams choking when they seem overconfident
