1. Don't have time for a lengthy review...
but I really...really liked it when I saw it in the movies. I would recommend it!

4. Great movie. I wasn't around when all that history
was being made. So from that point of view, I felt like I was there for a couple of hours.

I must also recommend the music. I think Clooney was paying tribute to his Aunt. By the way, the Bass player that you see in the first few minutes of the movie (don't blink, he's only seen for about .05 seconds) is my friend's husband. Christoph Luty.

5. Brilliant
I could go on, but that would cut into your movie time.

Great script, acting, and direction... what more could you want? :D

7. Don't waste your time looking for reviews: JUST WATCH IT.
It'll make you mad at things that happened fifty years ago. It'll be nice to be mad at something other than TODAY. :hi:

Oh, yeah: it's a great movie. David Strathairn is fabulous. Best I've ever seen him. Except for "Passionfish."

8. Beautiful, fascinating movie.
The actors are wonderful, the scenes tense even though you ultimately know how it all plays out. The dialogue and character interactions are not only emotionally fascinating, but they sparkle with life in all its states, and some are even quite witty.

The effects of the movie are really what put it over the top, though. Whoever (Clooney??) decided to put it in black-in-white was a genius. And the use of period jazz classics ("How High the Moon," "One for the Road," etc.) as done by an on-camera jazz ensemble as segues between certain scenes and as part of the soundtrack really helps to make you feel like you just went back in time.

Highly recommended, and a highly fitting movie to see in this reign of the Chimperor, when our civil liberties are at stake just as they were with McCarthy.

:thumbsup::thumbsup:

11. Hiya Cat, watched it again last night (4th time)
Made a post about it here:

IMHO the best movie of the year, better than Crash, Capote and Brokeback put together.
