1. I read the book
when I was about 20. It took me many years to see the movie. The movie was so close to the book it was incredible. I still won't eat pea soup.

11. Yes!!! With commentary by the director too boot!
Excellent is about all I can say. A horror masterpiece if there ever was one.

I'm going to put those subliminal messages featuring Pazuzu on my Axis of Evil website! I'll get a picture of Bush and have the pazuzu face flash every once in a while. Bush = Pazuzu

8. The Best Horror Movie Ever!
The book and the movie really creeped me out in a way I hadn't been since I saw "The Blob" when I was like 7 years old.

9. I went to see the Exorcists when it first came out when I was a kid
It scared the hell out of me because back then we didn't have movies like that.
I couldn't sleep without the lights on for several weeks.

10. Read the book in 6th grade
Moma wouldn't let me see the movie. Probably the sickest book I'll ever read. But the priest's struggle in the book is very moving and a lot more evocative and .... real.

I've seen the movie on TV a few times, but I've been distracted each time w/ household chores. I haven't seen the restored version. I might rent it someday.

13. If you liked reading the Exorcist...
I highly recommend a book called "Dark Debts" by Karen Hall. It's scary, but also about real faith vs. shallow faith.
