Okay after the latest revelation that that fake looking turkey platter really was a fake turkey platter. I have to admit I am in awe. I have transcended outrage, disgust, and contempt.

I'm enlightened! I have arrived at a pure form of political anger.

The Make-Believe Feast

I peer down the hall of mirrors
where the feast is being set
Master Rove the Magus leads us
in like Barnum's suckers
born every minute
to the side show and the fun house
mirrors that never end
and ever distort

And a make-believe king
holds a make-believe feast
while in other mirrors
the make-believe feast
is the one gift of
the make-believe king.

In the funhouse sideshow
we suckers feed on such
make-believe images
But unnourished for
long without truth
we beasts grow hungry
and mean

Master Rove the Magus
He is a minister of paper-mache
we will not devour him
we will devour his king
