Saw "Arlington West" and "Ashes and Snow" today. Sensory overload.
Also saw a DU bumper sticker on a vehicle in the Santa Monica Mall parking garage!

Great way to spend a chilly, yet sunny, day on the beach!

Anybody else see either this weekend?

1. Self-serving kick...
But looking for others' opinions on Ashes and Snow.

I was actually more impressed with the presentation (the "nomadic museum," the lighting, etc.) than the art. It looked like something someone with proficiency in PhotoShop could do, but the videos were amazing.

Anybody else see it?

2. I saw it in New York
Ashes & Snow, that is.

I also found the presentation more impressive than the art, but I did enjoy it. The video was the best. I know what you mean about sensory overload - I always feel like I need a nap after I go to a museum. I get so overwhelmed by beauty sometimes.

3. THANKS for the reply!
re the videos, I'm probably gonna wait a month to buy the DVD online as they are supposed to put out a second version with more of the content that was shown. I guess some of what was shown on the screens (at least here in Santa Monica) was filmed after the DVD was produced, so the new one should be more complete.

Anyway, thanks again for the reply!

4. Sure - I guess not too many people have seen it here, huh?
Well, they don't know what they are missing! :hi:

5. Well, I enjoyed
eavesdropping on your conversation and how you both felt on seeing Ashes & Snow. :hi: I'm hoping to get down to LA to see it before it closes.

A couple of Sundays ago I posted the link to their website here because I was so impressed. I want the DVD too.
