What music have you listened to today?
I've listened to:

KT Tunstall - Eye To The Telescope (I bought the CD, since even more songs had grown on me. At first, "Black Horse and the Cherry Tree" sounded too much like I was in a workout, but now it's not bad. There are many excellent songs. I only find "Universe And U" and "Miniature Disasters" to be weak.

Cindy Alexander - Angels And Demons

The Beatles - Abbey Road

1. A bunch of stuff...
I listened to Children of Eve's "This Island Just Might Kill Us All" at least 5 times. Really great local band, I love them. Seeing them play on Saturday.

In addition to that...
X's "Los Angeles"
Alkaline Trio's "Crimson" and "Good Mourning"
Black Rebel Motorcycle Club's self titled album
Hüsker Dü's "New Day Rising"

And now I am listening to Fear's "The Record".

4. The Little Willies
It's growing on me. It reminds me of my favorite bar band on a Saturday night. If you're looking for a new Norah Jones CD, you will be disappointed.....BUT if you're looking for a group people who enjoy playing together, it's spot on. And how can you resist Lou Reed...cow tippin'.

Frank Zappa - One Size Fits All
Frank Zappa - Broadway The Hard Way
Funkadelic - One Nation Under A Groove
Parliament - The Clones Of Dr. Funkenstein
Depeche Mode - Playing The Angel

Currently:

16. Now, just got done listening to..
the American Idol performances. Bit of an off night.

Quick ratings:

Ace Young 8/10 (nice range, but there are better falsetto choices - Four Seasons for one)

Chris Daughtry 5/10 (again, he's ready for radio - but he'd just fit in and not stand out with these kinds of performances)

Elliott Yamin 7/10 (his first likable performance IMO)

Bucky Covington 9/10 (I think he has a great country voice)

Gedeon McKinney 8/10 (really a great match for older R&B)

Kevin Covais 2/10 (2 sympathy points)

Taylor Hicks 4/10 (sorry Taylor fans, I thought that was forced. And I've liked him.)

Will Makar 3/10 (his voice lacks any resonance)

17. Whatever was on the radio...
I listen to music all day, but I never know what I am listening to...I usually use it as something to help me tune out everything else while I'm on the phone at work. And I think I heard a little Carrie Underwood in the car. I can't be sure. There is too much to distract me, idiots on the road home for one...
