Katie Holmes "Birthing Partner" announced: Victoria "Posh Spice" Beckham
Victoria Beckham To Be Katie Holmes' Birthing Partner
Where will Tom be?...

http://www.entertainmentwise.com/news?id=14340

The heavily pregnant actress Katie Holmes has reportedly asked Victoria Beckham to be her birthing partner. Holmes is said to be terrified about giving birth to her first child and is hoping old hand Beckham will be there to hold her hand.

Tom Cruise’s scientology beliefs mean that Holmes will have to make minimum noise as she attempts to create a serene world for her baby to enter.

A source told the Daily Star: “Victoria has become a mother hen to Katie and was thrilled when she asked her to be her birthing partner. “Twice a week they set aside half an hour to discuss any worries Katie may have and discuss breathing techniques.

“Victoria remembers how scary it was when she had her first child. She can’t imagine how difficult it will be for Katie to give birth quietly and without any pain killers.” Maybe someone should tell Katie that Victoria has had all three of her children delivered by caesarean section?...

Victoria: "Tell me what you want, what you really really want..."

Katie: "A FUCKING TYLENOL! AAAAARRRGGGHHHH!!!"

1. Posh Spice was such a twit on The Daily Show
Even Baby Spice "got it," but Posh did not.

Jon raked her over the coals.

2. Katie? It can't hurt to give birth if you
AREN'T ACTUALLY PREGNANT.

Shut up.

4. Oh my GOSH!!!
You think that too? I have been doubting this as well, ever since seeing a picture of her at about 3 months (max) with the shirt on that shows the belly skewed to the side with the button popped out already. :hi:

7. I think it's obvious from any photo you look at.
And I'm actually one of the nutty ones who doesn't believe she was ever pregnant.

5. Yeah, aren't the pods usually extracted long before "birth"?
I'd think giving a "traditional" birth to an alien replicant might be a bit painful.

9. "What I really want is a Vicodin, a bottle of vodka, and
a second chance to take my mom and dad's advice!!!"

As someone upthread mentioned, it don't hurt if you aren't REALLY squeezing a bowling ball out of your vagina.

11. As far as having a female "birthing partner" goes...
it's not unusual at all to have one (in addition to having one's relationship partner - I hesitate in this case to say "the baby's father" - present for the birth). Many women have one in the form of a doula.

It never occurred to me that Katie might not be pregnant, but I've considered the validity of the rumor that was circulating about her previous boyfriend being the baby's father. Who knows?

12. Yes, the "partner" concept doesn't seem unusual at all...
...but I agree with the MANY who have said that if Tom Cruise were willing to put HIMSELF through what Katie's gonna go through, it would be easier to swallow his enthusiasm for the process.

Of course, she's an adult, and it's her choice, so I guess the thing to do is wish her the best and let the chips fall where they may, ya know?

14. Oh, yawn
Women have been giving birth for centuries - this business of freaking out over it is pretty absurd. Everybody acts like they're the first person to have a baby - as long as there are no complications, it's pretty basic. Not fun, I'll grant you, but not worth endless headlines either.

And yes, I've done it three times.
