Even though the show is on late I've begun to watch it regularly. I swear each time they get in some digs on the current administration and/or neocon bunch. Last week it Spader's character named Scalia and this week with the "campaign" Denny Crane's PR person said the text was much like "mission accomplished" and people seemed to like that.
1. Question-Did Boston Legal develop from "The Practice"?
I have been wondering about this. I know they fired just about the entire cast of "The PRactice" at one point-did it morph/develop into what is now "Boston LEgal"?
James Spader's character did a nice legal maneuvering with the widow and her lawyer - saying that if he didn't win this case Bergen would get mad and when she gets mad she usually brings in some suits from downtown - corporate financial types - and the liklihood of these suits digging into your financial past/present and exposing how in debt you are would probably come out (So all the viewers think it's going to end here) but then Spader says but before I get further into that how much are you wanting for the pictures (she looks shocked). Later on it shows he has the pictures and flirts with Bergen in a ewww/but-classy-because-she-is-a-beautiful-older-woman/freudian kind of way that he will take good care of the pictures and she says of all people I trust you about that.
As for the daughter - The other lawyer (don't know his name) came back saying she is clean as a whistle and that she was even handling the stress of losing her ATM card well and he lent her $40. Of course a big tip off so the father goes to her house which is clean as a whistle then asks to go to the bathroom and there he searches for any drug paraphernalia and on top of a shelf he finds it and confronts her.
