People keep raving about how great Michelle Williams looked at the Oscars
Edited on Wed Mar-08-06 12:28 AM by LynneSin
but I just don't get it

The dress is beautiful but the color is horrible on her and that bright red lipstick makes it 100 times worse. And what's with that tiny belt right there at her waist that cuts the dress in half even though there's a wrap down at the bottom of it. Plus the necklace is way too harsh for the softness of the dress, especially with all that fly-away fluff around the neckline of the dress. And yet watching E! and a few other fashion wrap shows and for some reason everyone is raving on this.

I don't get it

1. I know what you mean!
I like the style of the dress, but a different color would have been better. And what the heck is it with women who think bright red lipstick is the way to go? I tried bright red on one time, and it definitely did NOT work for me.

I wonder how the "Best and Worst Dressed" Oscar edition in People will grade it.

5. I think she's beautiful, no doubt about it.

But I have to go with Lynne on the critique of the dress and lipstick. She has such a petite body, and some things just overwhelm her.

3. LOL! I was actually going to say that I HATED the style but liked the
color and her makeup. OOPS. Sorry, but I think the style is hideous. To each his/her own I guess! :)

4. i thought BOTH the color and the dress design
Edited on Wed Mar-08-06 12:34 AM by Ava
were horrible. the shape of the dress also did not fit her well and the color was DREADFUL! her makeup was way overdone also. she looks much better with more natural look makeup see and compare to the photo above:

6. I thought that would have been a fashion "don't" when I first saw
her in that dress (I have the same coloration and I always avoid yellows and bright red lipstick). I guess now I have just one more reason to disregard what the fashion industry says.
