Do the Broncos have a chance of beating Kansas City on Sunday?
Being from Denver, I am a Broncos fan and I know Kansas City is probably the best team statistically right now.

But I am going to say that the Broncos can beat the Chiefs. We should have close to our full compliment especially if Plummer and Portis stay healthy. We need Smith an Sharpe too. We are playing at home. Also, Cincinnati beat them so we should be able to.

1. A chance
a teeny-tiny microscopic chance of maybe being in a position to get a miracle win if there's a lot of bad calls and KC's starters miss the plane.

2. it seems like every year, no matter how good the teams are
K.C. wins in K.C. and Denver wins in Denver. And each game gets decided in the 4th quarter.

So I'd say yes.

Should be a good game.

3. As a Miami Dolphin fan..
..I must say I hope Kansas City wins. Denver is competing with Miami for a playoff spot and any loss on their part can only improve Miami's chances. December is typically a very cruel month for the Dolphins, we need all the help we can get if we're going to make the postseason. Go Chiefs!

18. I'm a Dolphin fan who is rooting for Denver
Partially influenced by the fact I bet the Broncos. As of Wednesday night, the line was as high as -2 1/2 in Las Vegas.

Frankly, I will be semi-stunned if the Chiefs win in Denver. The Broncos are more physical and should own the line of scrimmage. Plus the benefit of the home field cannot be underestimated in a game like this, especially late in the year.

But I very much appreciate the Chiefs taking care of business the last two weeks, ahead 21-7 at halftime both games. Bad beats are for Nick Bakay and anyone else who speculates on the entire game, not the glorious and cleansing first-half only.

The Dolphins don't need any help. If they can't win at least 2 of the last 4, let's tear up the offensive line and stop pretending we're close to championship level.

6. Call me Kansas City Sheila
I sure hope Kansas City wins. And I used to live in the Denver area (Golden, then Boulder) and still cheer the Broncos when they're not playing the Chiefs.

It's true, each team usually wins at home, but not every time. I'm hoping the Chiefs are as good as their record would indicate.

7. Yes, and the line is Denver by 1 1/2, over/under something like 49
Denver has been an up and down team of late, and that Pittsburg loss was hard to take, but I'm confident they can match KC.

12. Whoopsie. I keep associating K. Stewart with Steelers. Chicago, I mean..
He's a total folder in critical games, and he goes and beats up in our own house.

Just damn.

8. Speaking as a long time Chiefs fan
Speaking as a long time Chiefs fan -- they break my heart every year.

So after every season, when the next year rolls around, I lower my expectations, but then somehow they almost always manage to find a way to suck me back in -- then boom, the next big let down comes.

I've now been officially sucked in again this year. So when cometh the let down? Sunday in Denver looks like a good candidate for it to start. I'd say your Broncs have a fair shot. But the hex of mile high doom upon them!

9. Of Course
Kansas has the 7th worst defense and they are not very tough on the road, the only team they actually blown out on the road was the 2nd year Houston Texans. Denver has a top 15 offense and the #2 Defense in the league, if you want to look at the meeting at Arrowhead Denver had more passing yards, rushing yards, first downs, total yards by almost 2x the amount KC had, better percentage converting on 3rd down, better pass completion percentage, better ypc average, and so on.

13. KC's D
Edited on Wed Dec-03-03 04:29 PM by WorstPresidentEver
Kc's defence is not the best there is esp. against the run, BUT in terms of Stats That Actually Count (in this case points allowed) KC's D is number 8 in the NFL (The Team That Lost To The Bears At Home are #4). Add to that KC's offence being #1 in the NFL (based on Stats That Actually Count e.g. points scored) you get KC being 11-1 and getting ready to beat TTTLTTBAH by a HUGE margin of AT LEAST 2 or 3 points on Sunday.

Should be a good game :)

15. Of course the Broncos have a chance
Just like every year the Cardinals have a chance of going to the Super Bowl. But in all likelyhood will it happen? No, I don't think so. It will be a good nip and tuck game with the outcome decided in the final two minutes, but KC has a big play D, they are solid in every aspect of the game, and with the offense getting good field position after every kick, hey, Denver is going down.

My big question is the Denver kicking squad going to even tempt Dante Hall? Or will the simply concede a midfield spot of the ball to the Chiefs every time? Could be fun, I hope they kick to him, I want to see that record broken.

16. Absolutely
The only reason Kansas City won last time is because of a circus punt-return from Dante Hall.

I don't know who would end up winning though.
