My best employee quit today, and I'm so bummed out.

He's a great production manager, and a really nice guy. He needs more money, so he found a new job. And I sure don't blame him but I am gonna miss him. I'm already doing two jobs now because another employee is on maternity leave. Also, I'm not speaking to my two bosses and I'm pretty pissed off at one of my staff, and half of the rest of the staff are not speaking to me.

Meanwhile, my oldest kid has strep throat for the third time in three months, and my youngest kid is flunking math. I'mn pretty sure my dogs still like me, but it's early yet...

And I remind myself daily that things could always be worse - at least I had nothing emotionally invested in the Oscars! :D

I've always known that this day was going to come, but it still sucks. He was almost starting to tear up a little when he told me he was leaving! That makes this even worse, I think. Sigh.
