1. I was happy that it won
Though I would not have been disappointed if either Brokeback Mountain or Good Night and Good Luck had won.

The best thing about the movie is that is shows that people of all races can stereotype other races, can be racist, bigoted, etc. Whites are not the only ones guilty of that. And, it also shows that circumstances can help the scales fall from our eyes and begin to see each other as human beings, not as blacks, whites, etc.

6. Well said.
I wish I could K&R just this post, because so many people don't seem to understand that about Crash.

I too would have been happy if Brokeback won, but Crash definitely deserved it.

2. Superb film--
I was glad it won.

I have posted ad nauseum about it elsewhere though, and I don't have the energy to do it again, lol.

Glad you liked it!

4. I don't think I've ever been that excited about an Oscar result!
Congratulations, Crash! One of the greatest movies of all time!

5. I thought both movies were amazing films
So I was fine with either of them winning. I'm thinking the academy voters felt the same way and thus split their votes giving Ang(brokeback) the best director and Haggis(crash) best picture
