1. You can always read a book or watch some other TV:
Alternate TV to watch, I'll write up the theme lyrics:

Gimme a break I sure deserve it
It's time I made it to the top.
Gimme a break I’m looking forward
Get behind me pull out every stop

I want a happy ending
I'm tried of pretending
Won't let em get the best of me
Wo wo wo wo

Gimme a break the game is survival
Gimme a break and plan my arrival
Gimme a break for heaven's sake
to my piece of the cake

Gimme a break
Gimme a break
Gimme a break

And if you prefer reading, this one never fails to invoke a chuckle:

2. WAIT!! The Oscars are on Fox?
Does that mean that John Stewart is getting paid millions from Rupert Murdoch? Even indirectly? Or are Fox Network and Fox News seperate entities?

5. No, ABC I think, but all the others will be showing either reruns or
some dumb old movies instead of regular programming. :grrr:

3. Is this the official grumble about the Oscars interrupting our favorite

television programming thread? I'm grumbling about it too. Everything will be crap. It's like they think everyone plans on watching the Oscars, so they put nothing but reruns on the other channels thereby ensuring that people watch the Oscars out of desparation. Why don't they just officially shoot themselves in the foot to keep from getting shot? Idiots. I wanna see Malcom, the Simpsons and Family Guy!!!
:grr:

4. No West Wing either.
Bastards. :grr:

I'll actually be keeping my eye on the Oscars for once, though, with Stewart hosting.
