I got a job!!!

It is perfect! Assistant creative director for an architectural firm! Finally, something came along that perfectly fit my abilities and background and interests! I went to the interview on Thursday afternoon and then recieved a call on Friday morning asking when I could start! I immediatly told the former employers that I would no longer be working for them and even through it was terribly unprofessional, I did not give them two weeks notice. I figured that since I had been doing everyone elses job, that they can do without me if they actually do theirs! I start on monday!:woohoo: They also went above and beyond my salary requirements so I will have a little more money in my pocket too!

I recieved some bad news last week as well. My dad, as some of you know has been very ill. The cancer, which was originally thought to have spread, was actually in remission. But. There is always a But.....He has contracted a severe case of double pnemounia and is on a ventilator. This is so scary. I was on top of the world, and now I am just a bundle of nerves about this. So please send your positive thoughts, vibes and prayers to him. He is just so exhausted from fighting the cancer that his immune system is virtually gone. Hopefully he can fight this too.

Best wishes for your dad; I'm glad there's no cancer, but pneumonia is scary stuff. I've got a parent in the hospital as well, but it's for a hip replacement.

That is just fantastic, Sannum! Its always such a wonderful feeling, when someone recognizes our talents and abilities and rewards us for them! Good for you for 'sticking it to the man', and starting your new position on Monday. Congratulations too, on your new salary! That's always a terrific plus!

I do so hope that your Dad will be alright, and that being on the ventilator is letting him gain some strength to get in the fight again. You, your Dad, and your family will be in my prayers...
