1. I already have Spybot
But had to run it today because of problems. I installed Kazaa the other day and I think I got some crap from it. Either that or the virus that went around over the weekend.

6. Its Possible But Not Probable
95% of the OS platforms in the US are Windows based so far. Macs and Linux aren't a big market yet to be that much of a target.

11. Question
A couple of months ago, someone on DU had a sig line that read (from my point of view) something like "You are using an iBook running OS 9.1."

Another poster apparently saw something similar, because s/he wrote, "How did you know what computer I was using?"

This incident prompted me to install a firewall on my iBook (which I occasionally plugged into the cable modem) and I haven't seen that sig line since, but I want to know how that little stunt was accomplished.

12. That was a little stunt that reads your system specs
and mirrors it back to each individual reader. Admin asked that person to remove it.

Incidently, I have a firewall and it read mine too.
