Going to rent movies. What should I watch?
Need to get one or two that will appeal to MMjr. too.

Any suggestions? (I wonder if he's old enough to watch some of the Monty Python movies--The Holy Grail or The Meaning of Life?)

1. Wallace and Gromit is awesome
Edited on Fri Mar-03-06 04:56 PM by AllegroRondo
fitting for all ages, and hilarious!

As to Python films, my daughter loved Holy Grail when she was 10, but Meaning of Life will wait until shes at least 18.

6. Yeah, you're right about TMOL.
I forgot some of the scenes in it. It's an awesome movie, though.

OK, we'll look for The Holy Grail.

Thanks!

Oops- didn't see the Jr. part. I agree with Wallace and Grommit... very funny and cute. Also lots of fun double entendres for the adults!

About some guys that have been in space for way too long. I can't really do it justice...it's one of my all-time favorite movies, but then again I am a strange person.

Here's the page from IMDb

7. Get him Kill Bill, he'll love (never mind)
A Shark's tale if he hasn't seen it. I have a copy that I've watched a few times (brings that tear to my grumpy old face every time).

24. Mystery Science Theater
Edited on Fri Mar-03-06 05:06 PM by AllegroRondo
It was a TV show in the 90s. They would show very bad Sci-Fi films. Three characters would make fun of the movie as it was played. You could see their shadows on the screen, as if you were in a movie theater sitting behind them.

Great for sci-fi fans or bad movie enthusiasts, a little out there for kids.

23. it's kind of a remake of It's a mad, mad, mad, mad world", John Cleese is
in it, Rowan Atkinson, Whoopi Goldberg and Jon Lovitz in a very funny part. Totally mindless but very funny, lots of sight gags.
