11. I tried that. I can't seem to sleep during the day.

I usually pull a 24 hour DU shift every few weeks then it takes me days to recover because I can only sleep for a few hours before the daytime noises wake me.

I try to sleep when I can. Lately, that means I've been going to bed around midnight. Very uncharacteristic of me. Of course, then I get about 4 hours or so before the pain meds wear off.... so here I am, waiting for the vicodin to kick in again.

I was always part of the very early crew, waking up at 3:30 AM and onward. Then somehow I managed to get a grip on longer night's sleep. Right now my biggest sleep deterrent is that all my friends seem to be in a different time zone. So I must choose between sleep or companionship.

They kept bugging me about my drug history and about judging others. The interviewer stated that everyone has tried drugs and those who say they haven't are lying. I was honest and stated that I had tried pot in high school-she wanted an exact date for when I tried it.

They also kept asking me questions about judging others. I merely stated that anything that happened at work that was against policy would be reported to my supervisor. She didn't like that answer and kept pushing.

I wouldn't worry about the drug question. If they want proof that you aren't using drugs now they can ask you to take a drug screening test.



Here is another idea for you if you're anywhere near a county office building? There's usually a list of available civil service jobs and test schedules. Take a look at that.

73. I keep track of the job openings often.

Most are for road crew(and I've never seen a single woman on it) and the others I'm not qualified to do.

I am on the state list-I take the merit exams every two years so that they are updated. And I did apply for a dispatch job today-almost overqualified for the dispatch but no experience in household goods transport.

I went from full-time to part time, which is why I had to supplement w/ the motel job. Ended up having to quit dispatch because the motel demanded it w/ their hours. And we know what happened to that job.
