Does anyone here believe in the existence of Bigfoot?

It seems to me that if Bigfoot exists (or existed) in North America, we'd have found some incontrovertible evidence, such as skeletal remains, clumps of fur, scat, etc. I don't think anything like that has ever been found, though, has it? That famous film clip of Bigfoot was revealed to be a hoax, too.

It's easier for me to believe that such a creature could exist high in the Himalayas, which are less populated and developed. But North America? It seems unlikely to me, although I remain open-minded.

I'm curious as to what makes you think that. I know a lot of people believe it, but I'm not really sure why. I think it would be cool if it could be proven, but of course if we ever found a Bigfoot, we'd ruin everything by putting it in a zoo or something.

Okay, I've looked for more objective proof of the hoax, I can't find anything that isn't tied into skeptic/ debunking sites, or Bigfoot true believer sites. Hmmm...

I really don't know. I try not to get into too many discussions with him, frankly. He usually veers off into his latest and greatest money making scheme or tries to tell me that I don't really have to pay taxes or some such crap.

He's been in a documentary, though.

9. It's possible...

There are many areas in North America that are extremely remote. I think there are items out there (there has to be); people just don't quit their day jobs to hunt for them.

As for the clip, I haven't heard anything about that being a hoax. I know there are things listed on wiki but nothing on what you've described.

If someone produces real, physical evidence that has been peer reviewed and generally accepted by the scientific community, then I will accept that BF exists. It's science, not a popularity contest.

Is it possible? Sure, but lots of things are possible. I just think, in this case, it's unlikely.

And maybe not in the US any longer, but it seems like there are too many similar sightings, in different cultures and in different parts of the world, to write it off completely.

20. I don't disbelieve

I keep an open mind about most things. But it always strikes me funny that people are so willing to disbelieve things because there's no scientific or hard evidence of them but so many of them have no problem believing in god - which there's no scientific or hard evidence of either. Which is not to say that I don't believe that either - I neither believe nor disbelieve. Once again, I keep an open mind.
