My quotidian "Lock" made it in.
We'll see if the free wine at the opening is any good. If it isn't, back to the wine shop for a slurp.

The 4x4 Art Show, a unique juried exhibition of individual works, will take place from February 23rd through March 27th at Collage on Alberta. An array of local and international artists, both new and established, will present work created with one simple guideline, that the dimensions are 4" x 4". Artists have been allowed the freedom to use any medium or subject matter.

The concept of the show reflects the curator's intent to create a juried exhibition unhindered by the constraints a particular theme or medium, with the limited size requirement and nominal submission fee intended to make the show accessible to a whole range of artists. The ultimate goal of this approach is to present a great number of diverse works within a limited space.

This show is sponsored by Collage on Alberta and curated by local artist Holly Cappello. In addition, Ron Gassaway and Jodie Cord have contributed their promotional and administrative experience to this exhibition. Collage on Alberta is an art store and creative space in the Alberta Arts District of Portland, Oregon.

The opening for the 4x4 Art Show will take place at 6:00pm on February 23rd, Last Thursday.

The Soviet land laughs, full of joy!

Stalin! Stalin!
He called these barren wilds to life!
He painted them the color of the USSR!

You know a friend served this sparkling Shiraz called "Vixen" the other night with dessert.

Sounds pretty damned weird, I know, but with the choco truffle cake, it was the perfect combo of bubbles and nasty.

Plug was a favorite among a certain class of aesthetes, but associates in Seattle and Los Angeles tipped the balance in favor of "Lock."

31. Thank you, sir.
It's a humble painting, but somebody in Seattle has already bid on it. If it doesn't sell at the show for twice her bid, the Seattle lady gets it.

I will miss my little lock, but will invest the proceeds into dividend-paying securities that will comfort me in my waning years.
