What will it take for them?

I noticed the recent South Dakota abortion ban bill http://wcco.com/local/local_story_053174838.html makes no exception for cases of rape, incest, extreme child deformities, etc. The only exception being the life of the "mother."

As many here on these boards have thought (in regards to fundamentalists, freepers or just general "conservatives"), "What will it take for them to finally wake up?"

Having possessed an overactive imagination since childhood, I often picture these people going through these scenarios, that might force them to reassess their "values."

****Warning Sheer Lunacy and Absurdity Beyond This Point****

My mind's creation involved images of a Viking Raiding Party assault on South Dakota, on a "Storming the beaches of Normandy" scale. Just waves of warriors pillaging, plundering, and raping the locals. Cleaning up afterward wouldn't be simple, aside from the rebuilding of infrastructure, how would these people deal with the inevitable pregnancies. Would they reassess their values, and attempt to "move on," or would they adhere to a strict "moral" code and force the unfortunate women to carry the children to term.

It was while I was considering how the locals might act that I realized a couple things:

-This is absurd, and I have WAY too active an imagination.
2.) My ability to amuse myself has no end, as I was laughing aloud at what I had come up with.
c.) I can't possibly be the only one to be this odd. :silly:

Here's hoping others can amuse themselves so effortlessly. I figured I should share this in case some people might get some levity/amusement out of this as well. :hi:
