One of my uncles has a strange policy on who he votes for

In presidential elections, he only votes for the incumbent. That's his policy, which he all but admitted to me last week. It makes him feel patriotic, I guess, to support "the government". He's not necessarily a right wing conservative, just somewhat misinformed, and criticizing the president makes him uneasy. What this means is that his vote is only up for grabs in years when no incumbent is running, so 2008 is one of those years.

He first voted in 1968, for Nixon, then for Nixon again in 1972. He voted for Ford in 1976, and Carter in 1980, Reagan in 1984, but Dukakis in 1988, and then Bush in 1992. He picked Clinton in 1996, and Gore in 2000. He, of course, voted for Bush in 2004.

Well, at least his vote is in play in 2008.
