Gonzo the lizard on the loose in England
http://news.yahoo.com/s/afp/20060216/od_afp/afplifestylebritain_060216224128LONDON (AFP) - There's a lizard on the loose in peaceful Cambridgeshire, a 1.2 metre (four foot) black and white Argentinian tegu lizard that goes by the name of Gonzo.
"People wouldn't expect to find a four foot lizard wandering around in Cambridgeshire," in the east of England.
Argentinian tegus are carnivorous, or meat-eating, but unlikely to harm anyone -- and Burfield was more concerned that winter weather might claim Gonzo's life.
"I suspect he'll head for somewhere warm, maybe a shed," he said Thursday at his home in Ely town. "My advice would be that if anyone sees him they should just call the police."
