I just got my ear pierced!

I say 'ear', because I got the a stud in the cartilage of my left ear.

I used to have my tongue pierced, but only for about a year 1999-2000. And yet I was afraid and clenching my teeth and digging my nails into the chair getting my ear pierced! haha

1. Did it hurt?

2. Yeah, a little, tiny bit

The anticipation was the worst part... when she said, 'One... two... are you ready?' haha.

Then it hurt a little, sort of like biting your tongue, then there was a dull pain, which did make me wince a little, for about ten seconds. Now it doesn't really hurt, but that side of my head feels kinda... heavy. And I won't try to sleep on it.

It didn't hurt as much as piercing my tongue. And that didn't hurt as much as the time someone accidentally pushed a screw into my fingernail.

I don't have my camera on me at the moment - drat!

But I got a tiny, white gold, round stud. I might replace it with a white gold little hoop later, after the eight weeks are up.

I can't imagine having my tongue pierced. I'm sure today was nothing by comparison. Right?

5. It was literally months before I could...

...sleep on that side of my head when I did mine. I finally had to get out the needle and ice cube because at the time no one would pierce it for me!

I've had it for 13 years now, with a sterling hoop in it. My favorite!
