this is how a doctor explained it to me: because my pressure is low, in order to keep all my organs perfused with blood, my heart must beat faster.

The one thing I have going for me is a strong heart and perfect blood pressure. In my landscaping days, my resting heart rate was 43. I was skinny and strong then, and could stay on my feet for hours at a time.

i typically count for 30 seconds and double the number, I tend to fluctuate so 10 seconds is too short for any sort of accuracy

I think it is around 53 sometimes and it has been in the 40s somewhere on waking before. I think it's the swimming that does it.
