OMG! Blue Star now has home-approved gas salamander broilers!

If you have worked a big restaurant kitchen, you probably know that restaurant range ovens do not have broilers. Restaurants use salamanders, a term from the French. Salamanders are high-powered gas broilers, independent of the range, used for things like cheese melting or crusting a creme brulee. This is perfect timing in that I was ready to order a 36", six-burner Blue Star RNP range (22,000 BTU burners!) for the Greenville kitchen. Now I can get a salamander, too! With a Blue Star range and salamander, I'll have the most kick-ass kitchen in town. And I'll use it!
