8. I don't believe so because it seems they all appear to start fire
at the same time. We are incapable of synchronization.

3. All of the arson is against a particular sect.
That suggest strongly to me that whoever it is, it's a Christian of some sort. Anyone else would not bother to make the distinction.

18. Question . . . do you live in the South? The reason why I ask is because
the town I live in has 5 Baptist churches but not one Catholic or Episcopalian. Of course, we have a lot of the Church of Christs (code for Holiness), Church of God (same code) very different from the church I'm use to but to each his own. Then the Church of handling snakes and drinking poisons, but if you are a true Christian and accept Christ as your one and only savior, you won't get bit or die from drinking arsenic. This is Bush's base in the South.

Falwell's Church is Southern Baptist; however, it's a huge place and not out in the sticks like these churches were.

Me, personally, feel it is members of a white supremacy group like the KKK. Especially with Coretta Scott King's death and her memorials this week seem to correspond with the fires. It's like they are trying to send a message since her death has been an end to an era.

These are the type of people who use tragedy for their own agendas. They don't believe in change and some of these a***** would still have human slaves if they could (what am I saying, there is human trafficking of women from the Ukraine to Turkey, from Indonesia, etc). I just watched Front line last night on PBS and it was about the sex trade and how they torture and mistreat these women and how cruel these pimps are, especially the ones that are sold to Turkey. They always want the blonde, blue-eyed women for some reason. I don't understand why because they cannot have any women until they are married, and the women they marry are turkish, so if these men are not married (assumption on my account), wouldn't they be as attracted to Turkish women just as much??? Go figure!

Anyway, I truly feel it is more racist crime then small attacks from our enemies.

the KKK would have targeted all white churches. Of course with those freaks you never know.

23. Yeah, I've lived in the South (not any more, thankfully).
And yes, the majority of churches in the South are Baptist, but by no means is it all churches.

PS — if it's a white supremacist group, why were some of the targeted churches white?

26. They aren't known for their intelligence (hence their bigotry) . . .
The Kings were Baptists and the timing just seems like it is a little odd to me. Only my opinion. Also, I believe that the churches that were predominantly white still had black members, they were not exclusively white. These types of groups will voice the same kind of hate for any other race who would socialize in any way with a black person. Coming from the South, I think you have probably heard the hateful words that they use.

Do you think these crimes of arson of these nine churches are not racially motivated?

20. Do you use a company car or your own vehicle? I'm only asking
because their are tracking devices people can buy to keep up with their kids. The information comes back to a computer program and it's like a satellite picture as to the roads, places you've stopped, everything you do in your vehicle as far as traveling.

I cannot believe I am paranoid enough to even bring this up. Are we losing our minds? Is that what they want us to do?

Glad you guys got your nap in though. I didn't get mine today, and I haven't showered, dressed, or done anything to my house. It's almost 4:30 p.m. and my hubby gets home at
5:30 p.m.

I gotta go.

a "Partial Birth Abortion" and actually signed a bill into law regarding this pure propaganda that does not occur on any live, viable, healthy infant like they want everyone to believe.

I don't care who it is, but I hope they catch them and punish them to the fullest extent of the law. I'm one of those people who were forced into the fundamentalist version of Christianity as a kid. I hated Christianity with a passion for years until I met Rev Cheesehead and some other liberal (the ones I call the true) Christians on DU. Never would I condone burning someone's church no matter how much I disagree with them. I would not even condone burning the right wing Bush supporting churches in my area. It just seems so wrong to me.

Who could do such a thing? Only the KKK would do that. But then again, the jihadists may be responsible in some cases. I still think it's right wing hate groups doing it, especially the KKK bunch.

WARNING: :sarcasm: :sarcasm: :sarcasm: :sarcasm: :sarcasm:

The David Koresh Died For Your Sins Society: a freaky cabal formed in Waco, Texas after the FBI firebombing of the Branch Davidian Temple; Composed of an ultra-right-wing sect of Branch Davidians, a dissident band of Serpentine Pentecostals, the few remaining members of the Vernon Wayne Howell Memorial Gunpowder Packers and Marching Band, a handful of former CTI agents loyal to Jack Bauer, and the Fifth Directorate of the Hungarian Mafia...

Why?

WARNING: :sarcasm: :sarcasm: :sarcasm: :sarcasm: :sarcasm:

Because they have, so my informant told me before the Pentateuch wore off, a list which they believe indicates each and every church which has ever had a member who has ever displayed a freedom banner, sticker or window placard, read the U.S. Constitution, or displayed anything advocating or supporting the U.S. Bill of Rights!

WARNING: :sarcasm: :sarcasm: :sarcasm: :sarcasm: :sarcasm:

Another informant, questioned under sodium pento-endorphinol, stated categorically that the real purpose was to institute a backlash by the neoArmageddonites against 3rd-worlders, anti-W.T.O. protesters, I.W.W. goon squad members, pro-Semitic anti-Zionists, Trade Unionists, pro-Choicers, Doctors Without Borders, the A.C.L.U., and assorted other members of the "Their Haids ain't Pointy" Conspiracy! The informant would have said more, but began cackling madly and speaking of the Martians who bombed the churches to uncover the remains of their (Martians) revered saints.

Of course, it could just be a bunch of Third-Wing Wacos...
