ARGH. GRR.
Situation: In August last year, we needed a dumpster for a month to do some renovation work. We set up an account with the trash service that handles our garbage, got the dumpster, put the account on our credit card because we pay the thing off anyway and then I didn't have to worry about billing. Remember: They had our credit card number.
A month later, they take the dumpster at our request, all is well. In November, I got a letter stating they hadn't been paid. Sigh. Call, explain that they have our credit card number, would they just run the damn thing and be done with it? Oh, sure. Okay. No problem. I even gave them the number again.
I just got a call from a collections agency. They never ran the number, never did the billing. Fortunately, the collections woman DID take the card (I'll be watching the billing) and it won't appear on my credit report since I paid it when asked.
But DAY-UMN. What do I fricking have to do to get people to take our bloody money?
