I will show you all the wonders of my state and them some...and actually; it is worth it. We have the Blue Ridge Parkway and several other roads worth your time; and the Outer Banks are wonderful
for your peace of mind. Seriously. You can stay at my mountain house too if you need a break. (Ashe County NC; on TOP of a mountain!!)
Cross country is always good for perspective. The beauty of this land...........

I plan to drive down to Sugar Smack's before my cross country thing. Then I'll be back down that way when MissHoneychurch is here in September.

I love seeing the Outer Banks. My ex and I brought a boat north through Pamlico Sound back in '89, I've always wanted to take a closer look around there.

But you do need to check out the mountains too. Asheville is so cool and liberal and Biltmore is actually worth the trip (winery and gardens) & etc. Blue Ridge is great for bikers and lots of picnic stops...also rafting and canoeing if you like.
